Essential oil - Orange

A grey Monday morning. A house that smells of yesterday's laundry. A few drops of orange oil in the diffuser and it feels lighter and more cheerful straight away.

This essential oil smells exactly like an orange you have just peeled: sweet, fresh and sunny. It is one of the mildest and most loved scents to start with if you are new to essential oils. You use it in the diffuser, diluted in a massage oil, or as a scent in your own care products. A small amount is already enough, because the scent is intense.

Why you will not want to be without it

• A cheerful scent: sweet and fresh, pleasant at home on dark days
• In the diffuser: a fresh, clean scent in your living room or kitchen
• With a massage: a few drops in your massage oil for a relaxing moment
• For your hair: one drop through your unscented conditioner for a fresh scent
• A little goes far: you only need a few drops

How you use it

In the diffuser: 3 to 5 drops. On your skin: always dilute, no more than 2 to 3 drops per tablespoon of carrier oil. Orange oil makes your skin more sensitive to sunlight. After applying it, stay out of the sun and off sunbeds for 12 hours. Avoid contact with your eyes. Do not ingest. Keep out of reach of children. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, check with your doctor first.
