Aleppo soap has been made by hand in Syria for centuries, following an old recipe. This soap is 80% olive oil and 20% laurel berry oil. The olive oil hydrates, the laurel berry oil cleanses. Afterwards the soap dries for at least nine months. That is how it gets its typical, spicy scent and the firm texture that lasts a long time.

Under the tap it makes a soft, creamy lather. Your skin feels clean and supple afterwards, without that tight feeling. It is no surprise that Aleppo soap is seen as the forerunner of all the hard soaps we know now.

How you use it
